Caring for Your Flora Arrangement: What to Expect and How to Keep It Thriving

Our custom flora arrangements are designed to be both beautiful and lasting, blending fresh cut florals with living houseplants for a unique, layered experience. Each arrangement includes one to two main “character” houseplants, chosen for their structure, resilience, and long term potential in your home.

When you first bring your arrangement home, place it in bright, indirect light. This helps both the florals and the houseplants maintain their vibrancy without stress from direct sun. To keep everything hydrated, lightly water the arrangement every three to four days. The goal is to keep the soil slightly moist without overwatering, allowing both the foliage and florals to stay fresh and full.

As the days pass, you will notice the arrangement evolving. The florals will gradually soften and fade, while your character houseplant remains strong and ready for its next phase. This is where your arrangement becomes more than just a centerpiece. It becomes a plant you can grow with.

Once the cut florals have fully withered, gently remove your houseplant from the arrangement. At this stage, it is ready to be repotted into a four inch nursery pot with fresh soil. This gives the roots space to establish and continue growing.

After repotting, adjust your care routine slightly. Water your houseplant every seven days, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Keep it in medium to bright indirect light, where it can continue to thrive with minimal effort. These plants are intentionally selected to be beginner friendly, making them perfect for anyone looking to build confidence in plant care.

With just a little attention, your flora arrangement transforms from a short term floral display into a long lasting plant companion. Enjoy the full experience, from fresh blooms to continued growth.
