GEORGIA GAMES TRACK AND FIELD

APTPI AT THE GEORGIA GAMES

July 2025 – With the world of track and field heating up ~ from the Diamond League nearing its finale to the anticipation of the 2025 World Championships in September ~ athletes of all levels are lacing up to compete. This year, 'A Pot To Plant In', a local plant shop rooted in the community, proudly joined the celebration of athletics by participating in the Georgia Games 2025, one of the state’s most anticipated annual track and field events.

For shop owner Shana Sanders, this was more than just a race. After nearly five years of supporting the Georgia Games as a fan and cheering for her husband, a former multi-sport high school athlete and current silent business partner, she stepped onto the track herself for the very first time.

“Track and field season is always inspiring,” said Sanders,. “Watching the Diamond League, the buildup to the World Championships, and then being part of our local Georgia Games ~ it really shows how athletics bring people together. Competing this year was a personal milestone, but also a way to root our shop deeper into the community we love.”

The Georgia Games, part of the state’s proud tradition of amateur athletics, attracts athletes from across Georgia and connects local sports enthusiasts with the global energy of track and field season. 'A Pot To Plant In'’s participation highlights how small businesses can engage with the athletic community, blending the spirit of competition with the values of growth, dedication, and resilience.
